Five random things that make me happy today.

In no particular order, and that the average person wouldn’t give two hoots about. 

1.    The new Sharpie Pen:

I love this pen on so many levels… three in fact, that if you are the following also, you will totally get me (and we should do lunch soon):

• As a Scrapbooker who prefers to hand-write journaling but hates using those awkward calligraphy markers to get the writing nice and bold.
• As an astrological Virgo who loves shopping for new office supplies more than shoes.
• As someone who is tired of using the office’s cheapo bulk order pens.  (Though it seems everyone else is as well… and after trying mine out has eyed it hungrily and held it for longer that they should have. If it goes missing there will be an APB issued – “All Pens Bulletin”…HA! … Ok, that was bad sorry )

2.  This adorable vase from Three Potato Four:

They call it a pigeon – but to me that there is a penguin, and I ADORE penguins.  I so want this little guy.  Dear Alan – my birthday is coming up (well 2 and a half months, but still)… and I would like this vase.  The little one – hint hint. 

3.  Sour Patch Kids:  

These are a “re”-discovery for me.  They were my absolute must-have for movie going when I was a teenager, and we went to the movies a lot.  Seriously, this was my standard Saturday night menu from approximately 1992-1994:

• Chicken and cheese Quesadillas from Friendly’s with a Coke 
• Half a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Sundae
• Sour Patch Kids and an extra large Dr. Pepper

So nutritionally sound!  But I just love these things and they are my new favorite scrappin snack.  All except the green ones of course… I have always hated the green ones.  Sorry to discriminate.

4.  Good customer service:

From Starbucks… in the CITY.  That the lovely gentleman who behind the register will see me in the line 10 people back, and take 2 seconds to sneak my drink order into the assembly line so it’s ready by the time I’ve paid.  It’s not just me… and it’s not just girls… he’s just got a good memory and is nice.  That he remembers Iced Triple Grande Skinny Vanilla Latte is saying something too.

And no I don’t go every day… but close.

5.  This Guy:

Cause well… he just always makes me happy.  Even when the bathroom which we swore would be done in two weeks is still not together after six… and that this morning he once again took over the OTHER bathroom when I was mid-hair and had literally minutes to catch my train and I almost took his head off… he always makes me happy…. eventually.

And after re-reading this post I must conclude that elipses (…) must also make me happy.  Hmmm.
